It's as simple as 1-2-3

Our two recycling providers now pick up the basic items - principally paper and glass - right outside your home, so all you have to do is follow Steps 1-2-3.
STEP 1: Find out when and what you can recycle.
The easiest way to do this is just pop your postcode into the collection date finder on and that will tell you what you can recycle and when your next collection day is. If you don't have access to the Internet, your local library staff will help you do this. Or you may have a paper calendar received from the recycling crew Alternatively look at the map and 'Focsa' or 'Kerbside Calderdale' services boxes (opposite) and these will tell you what you can recycle in your area. If you don't know when your next collection day is, just ring up the Recycle for Calderdale helpline on 01422 389 385 and we'll tell you. If you want to recycle items which are not collected in the household service, you can still take many of them to one of the districts Household Waste and Recycling Centres, or to your local Bring Site.
STEP 2: Make sure you're ready to recycle.
If you haven't got a recycling box (for glass) or recycling bag (for paper), just contact us on the Recycle for Calderdale helpline 01422 392 385 and we'll get you one for free. Over the fortnight just collect your recycling items in (separate plastic bags) and put in the box/ bag ready for the collection day
STEP 3: Put your recycling box/bag out for collection every fortnight!
We're collecting 52 weeks a year, so all you have to do is get into the recycling habit - it doesn't matter if you miss a collection, but even if you've only got a few bottles or newspapers you can still put them out.
