Award Winning Climate Change Campaign
8th July 2008
Red Squirrel Media’s green marketing work has been officially recognized after it helped Bradford Council scoop a CIPR (Chartered Institute of Public Relations) Good Communications Award in public sector communications.
The Otley-based agency devised an innovative “mixed-up seasons” campaign to help the council win the award for climate change awareness. The campaign reflected the changing seasons and pictured conkers in spring and a butterfly on a snowball which featured on billboards across the district.
A council representative described Red Squirrel Media’s work as “highly innovative.”
Red Squirrel Media’s Business Development Manager Suzanne Hudson said:
“The engaging and high impact imagery combined with a subliminal message struck exactly the right cord with our audience. We used simple, clear and attractive photography with clever headlines and a surprising twist to inject a quirky and surprising twist on a topic that everyone reads and hears about more or less daily.”
